‘Essence’ by various Glenabbey artists

Essence is an album of alternative worship songs written and performed by musicians and singers from the Glenabbey community. It has a contemporay, guitar based rock edge, but has elements of electronica sprinkled throughout, giving the album an alternative feel. Themeatically broad, the songs explore a range of issues and human experiences, seeking to engage honestly with God through all life's experiences. ‘Underneath the Shining Star’

"Underneath the shining star" is a Christmas musical created by Keith and Kristyn Getty. It tells the story of a traveller on his search for a King in Bethlehem. From the ravings of the Roman soldiers to an underground gang, from a flashy businessman to the dreams of a homeless child; from an angel chorus to a humble manger join the traveller on his exciting journey.

‘Live it up’

Twelve children's songs by Kristyn Getty, sung by a children's choir of 21 kids, aged between 7 and 15. Lyrics and chords and backing tracks are available on request for those who might want to try these songs in church or school.

‘There is a Higher Throne’ featuring Sarahanne Wilmot

This live recording from Focusfest 2007 features Sarahanne Wilmot from Glenabbey, alongside Geraldine Latty from Bristol, leading over 2000 women in exuberant worship in Belfast's Waterfront Hall. Backed by a band of musicians from Glenabbey, Sarahanne's effortlessly fine voice shines as she leads on a number of tracks, including the uptempo track 'Patiently I wait', which she co-wrote with Neil Smith. This album is available from all major Christian retailers including Wesley Owen.

‘In Christ Alone’ by Keith & Kristyn Getty

Although Kristyn is now based in the States, she grew in Glenabbey church, being the daughter of church founder and main bible teacher, Gilbert Lennox. This album gathers together a number of the best loved hymns and songs written by Kristyn and Keith, along with Stuart Townend, all sung for the first time by Kristyn herself. As well as the title track, new versions of classics such as 'The power of the cross' and 'There is a higher throne' sit alongside new material including the 'Hear the call of the Kingdom'. Rich piano and lush strings abound in this wonderful showcase of deep theology and singable melodies that characterise the the Getty's writing. Available from all good Christian retailers.

‘Crave’ by SCSI

'Industrial strength disco' was how one reviewer summarised the alternative electronica pop-tinged rock sound of this album by the band SCSI, which included Michael Houston, Alistair Hamill and Sharon McFeeters from Glenabbey. The album contains a diverse collection of songs about life and faith, from the pure rock out track 'Stunned' through to the spine tingling moment when a 400 piece choir joins in towards the end of the final track 'Be the one'.
